My new tattoo

No, I didn’t “really” get a tattoo. I got a henna tattoo at Boothbay Harbor as part of my memorial to Lesa. It includes a white bracelet that says “one who soars” (given to me in Lesa’s honor by Gina at the writing retreat), a henna tattoo of the Chinese symbol for eternity (see here), and my wedding ring, with Lesa’s nickname engraved inside.

Trying to decide if I like it enough to make it a real tattoo. I really like the fact that when I look at it from my side (upside down), it reminds me of the Phoenix Rising — and that’s how I feel some times. I know I shouldn’t…
